Professional Development Mini-Grant

About the Program

The purpose of ynpnGO’s mini grant program is to support the professional development needs of our members. Members of ynpnGO are eligible for a mini-grant up to $500 to help offset the fees or cost of professional needs and opportunities. Two grant cycles will take place each year. Members will be eligible for one grant per year.

What qualifies as a professional development (PD) opportunity or need?

A PD opportunity can be a wide variety of specialized training, formal education, or advanced professional learning intended to improve professional knowledge, competence, skill, and effectiveness. Activities such as conferences, training, webinars all qualify! In addition, you can also apply for professional association fees (e.g. American Society of Public Administration membership). We also understand that there are professional needs that may not be met by your employer such as technology to work from home. All of these expenses help excel your career and we want to help!

Grants are provided on a reimbursement basis. If approved for a grant, you will receive a reimbursement form. This form and a copy of your receipt will be sent to info@ynpnlnk.org and ynpnGO will send you a reimbursement check. Reimbursement must be requested within 6 months of award notification. If you are financially unable to pay for an opportunity upfront and receive reimbursement, please reach out to info@ynpnlnk.org and alternative payment methods will be discussed.
